Tomorrow night i will be having a victory drink.How to connect remotely to OS X and iOS with TeamViewer We submitted the requests the same way we had, just I think somehow because I had raised a flag to our account reps someone paid attention to it and got it moving. Finally, on Friday last week just before we were going to move everything out another week, we got FOC for all 200+ DID's for tomorrow. I raised hell with our Comcast rep (We have other accounts with them >$10k/mo) and got them to contact SOMEONE in the port team, who basically lied saying they have records they responded to all escalation requests within 24 hours, and that they basically they're absolutely perfect and it's all Zoom's fault, and Zoom kept moving dates (Because they would not respond in time to get FOC's and we'd have to push back the dates). I asked for all detailed records from our Comcast rep for our SIP lines, and verified all the info I had that Zoom was using was correct. When escalation requests would go in, they would take 3-7 days to respond to those. Comcast would take 2-3 weeks to respond to standard Port requests, and reject them without any reason given, or cite they couldn't find the DID's we'd ask for on file with our account despite giving them correct BTN's, Account Numbers, etc.
4 MONTHS We were supposed to go live the 2nd week of July, and here we are going live 2nd week of October, 3 months late due to port requests being held up. We have had open port requests with them for over 4 months. We're forced to use Comcast for fiber services more or less, but for the love of god and all that is holy never put your phone system eggs in their basket if you even plan on moving from them. Getting them off Comcast has been a GIANT PITA. We moved all 200+ of our DID's to Comcast and used Comcast SIP (Via Fiber) for our OnPrem Mitel system. And we're only 115 or so extensions, most DID's with just a few AA's and groups. We went on-Prem Intertel to ShoreTelSky to a on-prem Mitel 3300/MiCollab system, and now we're switching to Zoom Phone. This isn't anything special, this is my third phone system cutover in 9 years here. Post of relief that a project final comes to a close tomorrow.
